Write copy: press releases, sponsored articles, backgrounders, etc.
I plan, implement and deliver print and digital content for communication projects, activities, and events. That includes preparing and disseminating communication and media relations materials.
Research, interview, write and edit articles, reports and books
From vague idea to finished product, I produce short newsy pieces to full-length books about the horse industry, environmental science, economics, housing, forestry, parks, recreation, tourism, whitewater paddling and other topics. Photographs, video, graphic design
I skipped classes to mess about in the dark room, exposing film and printing black-and-white. We've come a long way since then, but my love of photography remains. I create, produce, and edit video, photography and graphic design elements for social media, websites, and communication materials.
Plan events
I plan online and in-person events such as book tours, presentations, and one-day extravaganzas. Zoom and PowerPoint are go-to tech but I'm familiar with others, too.
Get funding
I create crowd funding campaigns, write grant applications, and coordinate fund-raising efforts.
